Why women should have multiple boyfriends — Tacha
Former Big Brother Naija star and media personality, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has stirred reactions online with her unconventional dating advice.
Speaking on the Outside the Box podcast, Tacha urged young women not to invest all their emotions and energy into just one man while dating. According to her, keeping multiple options helps women avoid heartbreak and disappointment.
“I tell girls, don’t be out there dating just one man. You need at least three other boyfriends in your life,” she said.
Tacha clarified that she was not encouraging promiscuity but advising women to maintain multiple talking stages. She explained:
“I am not saying sleep with all the boyfriends, but at least let there be other people you’re talking to. Even the person you’re dating — the heart of man is wicked, so you never really know.”
Her remarks quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions across social media. While some criticized her for promoting unhealthy relationship habits, others agreed that her advice was practical in today’s dating culture.
One X user, @el_obisesan, wrote: “She knows she’s no longer in her prime and that most men won’t take her seriously. That’s why she’s trying hard to recruit women to share her misfortune.”
Another, @Amy_beke, countered:
“Hmm, I can’t date more than one man. Talking stage can be more than one, but once I start dating it’s just one.”
The debate over Tacha’s comments continues to trend, highlighting how conversations around love, trust, and modern relationships remain deeply divided.
