Why I took a break from acting – Actress Nkechi Blessing

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has opened up on the surprising reason she took a break from the movie industry.

Speaking on a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Nkechi disclosed that an anonymous individual placed her on a ₦1 million weekly allowance, which influenced her decision to temporarily step away from acting.

“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting. I can’t shoot a movie and I might not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it,” she explained.

When asked by the host if the benefactor remains anonymous, the actress curtly replied, “It’s not your business.”
