Victor Osimhen set for permanent Galatasaray move after Napoli agreement

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is on the brink of completing a permanent transfer to Turkish champions Galatasaray, following a breakthrough in negotiations with Serie A side Napoli.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development via his X handle on Sunday, stating that a verbal agreement is already in place between both clubs.

“Galatasaray are closing in on Victor Osimhen deal, here we go soon!” Romano wrote. “€40 million immediate payment, €35 million in one year, €5 million add-ons based on goals. A 10% sell-on clause on future profit, plus a clause to prevent a sale to Italian clubs for the next two years.”

Osimhen enjoyed an outstanding season on loan at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions and playing a key role in the club’s title-winning campaign.

Despite interest from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, which he repeatedly turned down, and links to several Premier League clubs, Osimhen has opted to continue his career in Turkey.

Final paperwork is expected to be completed in the coming days, paving the way for Osimhen’s official unveiling as a permanent Galatasaray player.
