UK opens applications for Chevening scholarships for Nigerian students (How to apply)

The United Kingdom has officially opened applications for the
2025/2026 Chevening Scholarship programme, offering a fully funded opportunity for aspiring global leaders—
including Nigerians—to pursue a one-year master’s degree at any
UK university.
According to a statement from the
British High Commission, the application window runs from August 5 to October 7, 2025. Successful candidates will receive full financial support, covering tuition fees, travel, and living expenses.
Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO),the Chevening Scholarship targets individuals with strong academic achievements, proven leadership qualities, and a commitment to driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
Since its launch in 1983, the programme has supported over 60,000 professionals worldwide, including hundreds of Nigerians in fields like governance, law, media, and international development.
