Transfer: Nigeria’s Tolu Arokodare set for Premier League switch
Toku Arokodare
Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare is reportedly closing in on a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.
According to Belgian outlet HLN, Wolves are preparing a €25 million bid for the 24-year-old forward.
Arokodare, who was Genk’s top scorer last season, joined the Belgian side two years ago for €5 million. The talented forward has also drawn interest from Serie A clubs AC Milan and Napoli.
Wolves are looking at Arokodare as a potential replacement for Jørgen Strand-Larsen, who is expected to finalize his transfer to Newcastle United before the close of the transfer window.
To reduce the risk of injury ahead of the deal, Genk have left Arokodare out of their squad for Thursday’s UEFA Europa Conference League clash with Lezh Poznan.
