Tosin Adarabioyo receives Africa Illustrious Award for Club World Cup feat

Chelsea FC defender and Nigerian international, Tosin Adarabioyo, has been honoured with the Africa Illustrious Award by My Media Africa in recognition of his role in Chelsea’s FIFA Club World Cup triumph.

Adarabioyo, who made history as the first Nigerian to win the revamped tournament, received the “Award of Excellence and Special Recognition” on Wednesday at the media group’s office in Lekki, Lagos.

Speaking after receiving the award, Adarabioyo expressed gratitude and pride in the achievement.

> “I am very proud to have received this award. It will go down in history. I’m happy to have played a part in winning the trophy, and I’ll continue striving to make more impact worthy of honours like this,” he said.

The Africa Illustrious Award, powered by My Media Africa, celebrates outstanding Africans across sports, innovation, leadership, and the creative industries.

Adarabioyo, currently in Nigeria for the off-season, continues to inspire young talents across the continent with his achievements on the global stage.
