Toke Makinwa expecting first child

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

The 40-year-old made the revelation on Tuesday in an Instagram post, describing it as “the biggest project of my life, the highest calling ever.” She shared a short video showcasing her baby bump alongside the announcement.

Reflecting on the journey, Makinwa expressed gratitude to God, saying, “What a difference a year can make. You make all things beautiful in your time, and this is just perfect. I’ve worn many hats over the years, but this one trumps them all. I’m humbled to have been chosen.”

She described her unborn child as “the greatest reflection of God’s grace,” adding, “My bug, I cannot wait to meet you. You’ve made me the happiest person on earth. Thank you for choosing me.”

Makinwa rose to prominence as host of The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM before launching her popular YouTube vlog Toke Moments. She is also an entrepreneur, fashion influencer, and author of the bestselling 2016 memoir Becoming.
