Super Eagles stars donate ₦24 million to Super Falcons for WAFCON 2024 victory

Six Super Eagles players have donated ₦24 million to the Super Falcons in appreciation of their historic win at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The players who made the donation are:

The Super Falcons made headlines on Saturday night after coming from two goals down to defeat host nation Morocco in a dramatic final. The victory secured Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title under the leadership of head coach Justine Madugu.
The team and officials returned to Nigeria on Monday and were warmly received. In addition to the Super Eagles’ gesture, the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum also rewarded the Falcons for their outstanding performance and contribution to national pride.
The donation reflects a strong bond and mutual respect between Nigeria’s men and women’s national football teams.
