Spotify unveils top 30 Nigerian songs with biggest global streams in H1 2025

Global streaming platform Spotify has released its list of the top 30 Nigerian songs with the highest streams outside Nigeria for the first half of 2025.

Leading the chart is Rema’s smash hit “Baby (Is It A Crime)”, which continues to gain massive traction worldwide. Shallipopi follows closely in second place with “Laho”, while Davido’s collaboration with Omah Lay, “With You”, takes the third spot.

Afrobeats superstar Davido dominates the list with nine tracks from his critically acclaimed album “5ive” making the cut, reflecting his strong international appeal. Burna Boy comes next with five songs on the list, including notable collaborations and solo efforts.

The fourth and fifth spots are occupied by Chella’s “My Darling” and Burna Boy’s international collaboration “Tatata” featuring American rapper Travis Scott.

Rounding out the top 10 are:

Frenna & Shallipopi – “Zazaza”

Coldplay ft. Burna Boy – “We Pray”

Burna Boy – “Update”

Shallipopi ft. Burna Boy – “Laho II”

Davido – “Be There Still”

Spotify noted that the ranking includes both solo releases by Nigerian artists and international songs that feature Nigerian acts, underscoring the genre’s growing global influence in 2025.
