Soun commends Bashorun Musulumi’s new shopping complex in Lagos

The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, has applauded the commissioning of the newly built Sarumi Shopping Complex in Lagos, describing it as a monumental achievement and a beacon of entrepreneurial excellence.

Speaking at the inauguration on Saturday, the monarch said the project, spearheaded by Alhaji Alimi Sarumi, the Bashorun Musulumi of Ogbomosoland in Lagos, represents more than just a commercial hub.

According to him, it is a powerful statement of vision, determination, and the enduring spirit of the Ogbomoso people.

Oba Olaoye emphasized that the edifice stands as a lasting legacy, capable of inspiring generations to come.

He expressed pride in Sarumi’s accomplishment, noting that it reflects the values of innovation and resilience for which Ogbomoso indigenes are known.

“This magnificent edifice is not just a structure of bricks and mortar. It is a symbol of vision, resilience, and the indomitable entrepreneurial spirit that defines us as Ogbomoso people. My heart swells with pride to see one of our own lifting the banner of excellence so high,” he said.

The monarch further urged sons and daughters of Ogbomoso, both at home and in the diaspora, to draw inspiration from Sarumi’s achievement. He called on them to invest in ventures that would not only serve present needs but also create lasting legacies that future generations can build upon.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by dignitaries, community leaders, and business stakeholders, who hailed the complex as a strategic addition to Lagos’s commercial landscape and a model of what private initiative and dedication can achieve.

With the unveiling of the Sarumi Shopping Complex, Alhaji Sarumi has not only contributed to Lagos’s growing economy but has also etched his name into the history of Ogbomosoland as a trailblazer committed to uplifting his roots.
