Six Nigerian Law School students abducted by suspected bandits on Wukari-Benue Road

Six students of the Nigerian Law School en route to the institution’s Yola campus in Adamawa State have been reportedly abducted by suspected armed bandits.
The incident occurred on the night of Saturday, July 26, along the dangerous Wukari–Benue highway, a stretch widely regarded for its high rate of banditry and ambushes. The students were returning to campus after completing their mandatory court attachments, ahead of academic resumption slated for Monday, July 28.
According to sources, the abducted students were travelling in a commercial vehicle belonging to AJ Dan Pullo Transport Company, based in Onitsha, Anambra State. The victims have been identified as Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David.
A student from the Yola campus, identified simply as Johnson, confirmed that the kidnappers have reached out to the families of the victims, demanding a ransom of ₦20 million for their release.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Nigerian Law School authorities nor security agencies have issued any official statement regarding the abduction.
The development has sparked growing concerns over the safety of students travelling across Nigeria’s volatile regions, especially during academic transitions.
