Singer Lil Kesh speaks after Lagos robbery attack

Nigerian singer Keshinro Ololade, better known as Lil Kesh, has assured fans that he is safe after reports emerged that he was robbed and stabbed during an attack in Lagos.

Reports on Wednesday claimed the “Shoki” hitmaker was assaulted by armed men who allegedly stole valuables worth millions of naira.

Entertainment outlet Hip TV reported that the artist sustained a stab wound to his neck.

Reacting on Thursday via X (formerly Twitter), Lil Kesh confirmed he was recovering. “Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers,” he wrote.

The incident sparked concern across the music industry, with fans and colleagues sending messages of support. Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the attack.
