Senator Ned Nwoko breaks silence amid Regina Daniels’ abuse allegations

Senator Ned Nwoko has denied allegations of domestic violence made by his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, following a viral video in which she appeared distressed and claimed abuse in their marriage.

In a statement posted on his verified X account on Sunday, Nwoko attributed the marital issues to Daniels’ alleged struggles with drugs and alcohol, calling for her continued rehabilitation.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote in a post titled ‘Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage And Rampage In My House And In My Absence’.

The senator alleged that Daniels became violent in his absence, physically attacking three staff members within 48 hours and damaging property, including cars and windows. He added that he had offered rehabilitation options in Asokoro and abroad, including Jordan, to limit her access to drugs.

Nwoko also accused Daniels of threatening a nurse who revealed her alleged drug use and named two individuals he claims supplied her. The post included a video showing vandalised property at his residence.

The controversy follows a viral clip in which Daniels said: “In Ned Nwoko’s house I am nothing, but in my own house I am a Queen. Not again, I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.” Her brother also reacted on social media, alleging physical assault and pledging to defend her.

As of this report, Daniels has not publicly responded to Nwoko’s latest statements.
