Sanwo-Olu meets Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo in Lagos

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has met with Nigerian-born Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo during the footballer’s visit to Nigeria.

The meeting, which took place in Lagos, was part of the governor’s continuous engagement with young Nigerians in the diaspora who are excelling in their various fields.

Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed admiration for Adarabioyo’s achievements and emphasized the importance of staying connected to one’s roots. “It’s always inspiring to meet young Nigerians making their mark internationally, who remain grounded and stay connected to home,” he said.

Tosin Adarabioyo recently signed for Chelsea FC, making him one of the most prominent Nigerian defenders in European football. His visit to Nigeria is seen as a homecoming and a chance to inspire young athletes in the country.

The governor encouraged the footballer to continue being a positive role model for the youth and affirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting sports development in Lagos.

Adarabioyo thanked the governor for the warm reception and reiterated his pride in his Nigerian heritage.
