Sanku: Fresh revelations surface after Skitmaker’s fatal accident
Content creator Folorunsho Olayinka, popularly known as Finest, has revealed new insights into the circumstances surrounding the death of late comedian and Skitmaker, Adetola Samad, widely called Sanku.
According to Finest, Sanku acquired the 2012 Lexus RX 350 SUV involved in the fatal crash on credit, with N13 million still owed to the dealer.
Sanku tragically died on September 2, 2025, when his car plunged into a river along Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State.
Finest, who served as Sanku’s guarantor, said the comedian had intended to purchase the vehicle for N25.4 million. Records from JJ Motors Empire and Services Limited, dated June 5, 2025, indicated that Sanku paid N7 million upfront and continued installments until reaching N12.28 million.
“I was only a guarantor; the dealer knew me, so I helped him,” Finest stated. “I wasn’t involved in the accident or in any decisions regarding the car. I even sent money for the treatment of those who went to the scene that day.”
A close friend of Sanku, speaking anonymously, revealed that the comedian faced pressure to exchange the Lexus for a Nigerian-used Toyota Venza after he was unable to complete full payment, leaving a balance of N2.3 million.
