Princess reacts to Baba Ijesha’s release from prison

Actress and comedian Damilola “Princess” Adekoya has reacted to the release of actor Omiyinka Olanrewaju “Baba Ijesha” who was convicted in 2022 for sexually assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter.

He was released on Friday after serving his full sentence.

In an Instagram video, Princess sarcastically told critics they could “send their daughters to Baba Ijesha for Christmas,” while noting some positive outcomes from his incarceration: no new victims were reported during his prison term, some past victims felt justice was served, and the public is now fully aware of his crimes.

She cautioned landlords, schools, and the public to exercise care, highlighting that Baba Ijesha had also assaulted adults.

Princess urged the Lagos State Ministry of Justice to officially list him on the sex offenders register.

Defending her actions, she emphasized that God does not condone child abuse and reaffirmed that Baba Ijesha is a convicted serial paedophile who has completed his sentence.
