Portable and VeryDarkMan

The ongoing rift between controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and social media activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has taken a new turn as Portable publicly challenged his rival to a street fight.

REPUBLICAN NIGERIA gathered that the feud began after Portable criticized VeryDarkMan for consistently attacking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over Nigeria’s economic challenges. The singer also accused the activist of exploiting the tragic death of late singer Mohbad to gain online fame.

VeryDarkMan responded with a diss track titled ‘Ole’, in which he referenced Portable’s past brushes with the law, including allegations of phone and tricycle theft and a police arrest. Portable replied with a diss track of his own, and the two have since engaged in a heated exchange across social media.

In a recent video, Portable rejected the idea of a regulated boxing match, insisting on a raw, unfiltered street brawl.

“People have been tagging me, asking for a boxing match between me and VeryDarkMan. Who will box with that fool?” Portable said. “If he wants to fight, let him come to the streets. I’m a street fighter. I don’t want boxing because it requires protective gear. On the street, you can even fight with planks. I want us to settle this with a street fight, not boxing. Let’s see who wins.”
