Police probe murd£r of Lagos interior designer allegedly k!lled by ex-boyfriend

A Lagos-based interior designer, Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche, has been allegedly murdered by her former boyfriend months after she ended their relationship.

The tragic incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, has sparked outrage among family members, neighbors, and rights activists, who are demanding justice.

According to reports, the suspect, identified only as Lintex, from Otukpo in Benue State, disguised himself as a dispatch rider to gain access to the estate where Deborah lived.

When security officials became suspicious, he allegedly scaled the fence into the compound and headed straight to her apartment.

The suspect reportedly tried to cause an explosion by cutting the cooking gas pipe outside her house. When that attempt failed, he allegedly broke into her apartment and stabbed her multiple times until she died.

A family member revealed that Deborah ended the relationship more than a year ago but had been constantly harassed and threatened by the suspect.

“They broke up over a year ago, but he refused to move on. He kept saying, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,’” the relative said.

The source added that Deborah had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and was beginning to build her career when her life was cut short.

Neighbors apprehended the suspect after the attack and handed him over to the police. He is currently in custody.

Activists and family members have called for a thorough investigation and warned that the case must not be swept under the carpet.
