The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the dates for its 101st National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
In a statement released Tuesday via the party’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, and signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP disclosed that the crucial meeting will hold over three days—Wednesday, July 23; Thursday, July 24; and Friday, July 25, 2025—at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
“Distinguished members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party are hereby reminded of the scheduled 101st NEC meeting earlier summoned to hold as follows,” the statement read.
According to the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017), NEC members include the National Chairman; serving and former Presidents and Vice Presidents of Nigeria who are members of the party; the Chairman and Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT); other BoT members; and principal officers of the National Assembly who are PDP members.
Also listed are up to 18 serving PDP Senators and 24 House of Representatives members; all PDP state governors; national officers and their deputies; and state chairmen of the party.
Other NEC members include six ex-officio members; former National Working Committee members; former principal officers of the National Assembly produced by the PDP; and all former state governors who are still members of the party.
The meeting is expected to address critical party affairs and strategize ahead of upcoming political engagements.
