Oyo Police elevate 159 inspectors to ASP rank

The Oyo State Police Command has promoted 159 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in recognition of their dedication and outstanding service.

Police spokesperson CSP Adewale Osifeso announced the development on Tuesday in Ibadan, noting it reflects Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun’s commitment to rewarding excellence.

During the decoration ceremony, Commissioner of Police Femi Haruna commended the officers’ courage and professionalism, describing the promotion as both recognition of past service and a call to uphold the highest standards going forward.

“The promotion you have received today is a testament to your hard work and commitment. Let it inspire you to maintain these values throughout your career,” Haruna told the officers.

The newly promoted ASPs expressed gratitude and reaffirmed their dedication to duty.

Among those decorated were ASP Eriarehmhien Ayishat, ASP Coker Bunmi, and ASP Tina Osuoza.
