Oyo LG Commission warns public against fake recruitment

The Oyo State Local Government Service Commission has warned members of the public to disregard fake recruitment advertisements currently circulating online and offline.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole, the Commission described the claims as false and the work of fraudsters.

It explained that the conversion of ad-hoc staff to permanent workers had been completed long ago, stressing that no recruitment exercise is ongoing.

“For clarity, all genuine recruitment announcements will only be made through verified government channels such as the official Oyo State Government website, national newspapers, and accredited broadcast media outlets,” the statement said.

The Commission further cautioned that it does not and will never demand money from applicants, warning that anyone who falls victim to scammers does so at their own risk.

Reiterating its commitment to transparency and due process, the Commission urged residents to remain vigilant and depend solely on official platforms for accurate information.
