Oyo College of Nursing installs clock-in devices to enforce punctuality

The Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele, Ibadan, has introduced clock-in devices to promote punctuality and curb absenteeism among staff.
Provost Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi announced the initiative on Tuesday while addressing staff members, noting that unannounced inspections had revealed frequent absences and locked offices during working hours.
She explained that the devices would also be installed at the College’s campuses in Kishi and Oyo town, in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to quality education and healthcare delivery.
According to her, the system will ensure staff are consistently at their duty posts, fostering accountability and better service to the public.
Owolabi urged the management team and department heads to lead by example and ensure all workers comply with the new measure.
