The Osun State Police Command has begun investigations into the sudden death of a young woman, Bidemi Omole, who died shortly after arriving at her boyfriend’s residence in Esa-Oke, Osun State.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 9:30 pm on Friday in the Oke Esa area. Bidemi, who was said to be preparing to attend a vigil that evening, reportedly fell ill almost immediately after getting to her boyfriend Yinka’s house.
Residents told reporters that she showed no prior signs of illness before the sudden collapse.
Eyewitness disclosed that police operatives quickly intervened and took Yinka into custody.
Confirming the incident, Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, said preliminary findings showed that the deceased began vomiting not long after her arrival.
She was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on the way.
“The boyfriend has been arrested, and an autopsy will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death,” Ojelabi stated.
