Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has once again turned down a lucrative four-year deal from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, reportedly worth €160 million, expressing a strong desire to continue his career in Europe.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, has made it clear he wants to remain with the Turkish giants on a permanent basis. The striker is said to have personally contacted Galatasaray officials, pleading with them to expedite the transfer process.

“I want to continue at Galatasaray,” Osimhen reportedly told the club’s leadership during a phone conversation, according to Turkish outlet Milliyet, via Habersarikirmizi. “Secure my transfer from Napoli. They want to sell me to Saudi Arabia for €100 million.”

Osimhen’s primary motivation is to compete in the UEFA Champions League, preferring sporting ambitions over financial incentives.

Following the call, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek and Sportif AŞ vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu held an urgent meeting at Rams Park to assess the situation.

Napoli, however, has rejected multiple offers from Galatasaray, including bids of €50m, €60m, and most recently €65m, insisting they won’t sell for less than £75 million.

Galatasaray is now negotiating a deal to pay Osimhen’s release clause in installments—€25 million annually over three years—in a bid to finalize the transfer.
