Nigeria finished their Group C campaign on a high note after recording a 3–1 win against 10-man Uganda in Fes.

Paul Onuachu opened the scoring shortly before the half-hour mark, converting from close range to put the Super Eagles ahead.

Uganda’s hopes suffered a major setback in the second half when substitute goalkeeper Jamal Salim was sent off for handling the ball outside the penalty area.

Raphael Onyedika made the most of the advantage, striking twice within four minutes to extend Nigeria’s lead and effectively settle the contest.

Uganda managed to pull one back despite being a man down, with Rogers Mato producing a neat finish, but the goal only reduced the margin as Nigeria remained dominant until the final whistle.

The result sealed Nigeria’s place at the top of Group C with maximum points, reinforcing their strong form heading into the knockout rounds.
