Oluwakemi Rufai, the newly elected councillor for Ward C1 in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Lagos State, has passed away just two weeks after taking office.

Her passing was confirmed by Sesan Olowa, Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, and Rasaki Kasali, Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area, who described the loss as a shock to both the council and the local community.
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) mourned her death.

He extended condolences to her family, constituents, and the Ibeju-Lekki community, adding: “Her legacy of service, courage, and vision will not be forgotten.”
