The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has warned the public against a fraudulent recruitment advertisement currently circulating online, falsely claiming to be issued on behalf of the league.

In a statement on Friday, the league’s governing body said the publication, shared via the fake email address npflnews.aquavisioninc@gmail.com, was a scam aimed at deceiving unsuspecting individuals.

The NPFL stressed that it has not authorised any recruitment of photographers, staff, or contractors through the said email or any unofficial platform, describing the advert as “a deliberate case of impersonation and misrepresentation.”

“The NPFL completely dissociates itself from this advert and strongly advises the public to disregard it in its entirety,” the statement read.

The league disclosed that the matter has already been reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation and possible prosecution of those behind the fraudulent scheme.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and integrity, the NPFL urged football fans, media professionals, and potential partners to always verify information through its official website—www.npfl.com.ng—and other recognised communication channels.
