REPUBLICAN NIGERIA gathered that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Osun State has extended an open invitation to former Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, urging him to join its fold ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

Senator Fadahunsi, who previously represented Osun East Senatorial District under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), recently resigned from the party. He was joined by Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi of Osun Central, with both leaders citing prolonged internal crises and unresolved legal battles within the PDP as reasons for their departure.

“Senator Fadahunsi commands respect and widespread support across Osun and beyond,” Odeyemi stated. “We warmly invite him to the NNPP, where his experience and vision can help drive meaningful change for the people of Osun and Nigeria at large.”

Odeyemi also emphasized the NNPP’s readiness to accommodate political heavyweights who share the party’s values of transparency, service, and development.
