NLO suspends coach Sanusi Kwayo over misconduct

The Nationwide League One (NLO) has suspended Sanusi Kwayo, head coach of HBR FC Kano, from participating in the 2025 season following allegations of misconduct during the team’s Matchday Two fixture against Wudil FC at Danbatta Centre.
The league described the incident as a violation of its code of conduct and disciplinary regulations.
NLO’s Chief Operating Officer, Olusola Ogunnowo, issued the suspension through the Kano State Football Association on Tuesday.
The suspension takes immediate effect, pending further disciplinary review.
The NLO emphasized its commitment to enforcing discipline, professionalism, and fair play within Nigerian football.
