Nigeria’s rising athletics star, Ezekiel Nathaniel, has secured his maiden win at the prestigious Diamond League, further cementing his status as one of the hottest prospects in world athletics.
Competing in the men’s 400m hurdles at the Lausanne Diamond League, Nathaniel crossed the finish line in 48.08 seconds, holding his ground after the final hurdle to clinch the gold.
American Trevor Bassitt followed closely in second place with 48.14 seconds, while Slovenia’s Ian Matic Gucek settled for third in 49.23 seconds.
