’New Noah’ completes ark, says three-year rain will begin on Christmas Day
A Ghanaian preacher, Ebo Noah, has claimed that a three-year rainfall capable of flooding the earth will begin on December 25, saying he received a divine instruction to build an ark in preparation.
The claim, first shared in a video posted on his Instagram page in August, has drawn widespread attention and debate across social media and religious circles.
According to the preacher, the ark—said to be about 80 per cent complete—will serve as a refuge for those he describes as having a covenant with God.
He maintained that the warning was revealed to him through divine instruction.
In a recent post ahead of Christmas Day, Noah said he had fasted and prayed for weeks and had done all he could to warn people, adding that whatever happens is now “in the hands of God.”
He clarified that the ark is open to people of all nationalities, provided they share the same religious conviction.
He also denied reports that his followers were selling property or resigning from their jobs to support the project.
Despite his warnings, videos circulating online also show the preacher promoting a social event scheduled to hold between December 24 and January 1, 2026, drawing mixed reactions from the public.
Meanwhile, reports and viral videos indicated that large crowds have gathered near the ark site, with followers praying and waiting in anticipation of the predicted event.
The claims have continued to generate criticism and scepticism, with many referencing biblical passages that state the earth would not again be destroyed by a flood.
As of the time of reporting, no official authority or religious body has validated the preacher’s claims.
