LAUTECH reacts to ‘murder of student’ in Ogbomoso

The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has reacted to the tragic killing of an individual alleged to be a student of the institution, identified as Ridwan Oladipupo.

Oladipupo, reportedly a 300-level student of Agricultural Engineering, was said to have been murdered under unclear circumstances after leaving his off-campus residence on Lawyer Ahmed Street.

In a statement issued on Monday, the university expressed shock over the incident and extended condolences to the family of the deceased. However, it also clarified that investigations are ongoing to confirm the victim’s student status and the circumstances surrounding the murder.

The institution assured the public of its commitment to student safety and pledged to cooperate fully with security agencies to ensure justice is served.
