Lagos Govt appoints Mandy Kiss as LASKADA ambassador

Social media personality Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, has been unveiled as a brand ambassador for the Lagos State Kick Against Drug and Substance Abuse (LASKADA) initiative.

In a video that went viral today, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, officially conferred the ambassadorship on Mandy Kiss at a LASKADA event.

Speaking at the event, Ogunlende stressed the need for collaboration in tackling substance abuse across the state.

“Drugs are a pandemic hitting our society. The government cannot fight it alone. We must work with those who can reach as many people as possible, and Mandy Kiss has a large following of over 400,000,” he said.

The Commissioner expressed hope that the influencer’s platform would help spread the anti-drug message into Lagos communities, adding:

“Everybody has a past, nobody’s perfect. As a brand ambassador, we hope she can take this message into the nooks and crannies of Lagos.”

The appointment comes shortly after Mandy Kiss stirred controversy with her announcement of a planned Guinness World Record attempt involving a sex marathon with 100 men in one day. The Guinness World Records later issued a statement distancing itself from the claim, noting that it does not recognize sexual activity as a record category. She has since described the statement as a joke, but it sparked widespread public criticism.

Although the Commissioner did not disclose details of her new role, LASKADA said it remains committed to leading sustained advocacy, public education, community engagement, and policy influence to curb drug abuse in Lagos State.
