JUST IN: Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja lands in Ibadan, sets for coronation

Oba Rasidi Ladoja, the Olubadan-designate, arrived his family home in Isale-Osi, Ibadan South-West, at 1:20 pm on Monday.
He was welcomed by family and friends, with special prayers held in both Muslim and Christian traditions.
Oba Ladoja is set to proceed to his Bodija residence later today and will undergo the traditional rites ahead of his installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Olubadan-in-Council nominated him on August 4, 2025, at the new Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo.
His nomination, moved by the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, and seconded by Osi Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole, has been forwarded to Governor Seyi Makinde for approval.
