The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the pump price of petrol to N955 per litre at its retail outlets in Abuja, Kogi, and Nasarawa.

The new price reflects a N65 increase from the previous N890 per litre, and is already in effect at NNPCL stations, including those located along the Kubwa Expressway and in parts of Wuse, Abuja.

This adjustment comes just days after independent marketers raised their prices to between N950 and N971 per litre. The move followed a hike in the ex-depot price by Dangote Refinery, which increased from N820 to N858 per litre.

The price hike is expected to further strain consumers already grappling with high inflation and economic challenges.
