The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, will be crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
His nomination has been ratified by Governor Seyi Makinde, with confirmation coming after a state delegation met Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence on Wednesday.
Confirming the development, Ladoja’s media aide, Chief Adeola Oloko, said:
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.”
The coronation will hold at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan.
On Tuesday, Ladoja hosted the kingmakers at his Old Bodija residence in Ibadan North Local Government Area. The closed-door meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, was his first formal engagement with them since the death of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
