JUST IN: Former Oyo Immigration Comptroller, Dada Joseph Olutayo is d£ad

The former Oyo State Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration (ACGI) Dada Joseph Olutayo, has passed away at the age of 58.

According to a statement by Mr. Joshua Dada on behalf of the family, the senior immigration officer died on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State, after a brief illness.

Dada, who was recently promoted to the rank of ACGI, had served the NIS in various capacities throughout his career, including as Comptroller of Immigration in Oyo State.

Announcing his passing, the family expressed both sorrow and gratitude to God for his life.

He is survived by his wife, children, and other relatives.

Burial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
