JUST IN: Chelsea appoint ‘handsome’ head coach
Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of young and handsome Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, handing him a six-year contract.
In a statement released by the club, Chelsea said the focus would “continue to be on player development”, while stressing that the club’s “expectations and ambitions remain high”.
Rosenior expressed pride at being given the role, describing the appointment as a major moment in his career.
“To be entrusted with this role means the world to me,” he said. “I will give everything to bring success to this club.”
The former defender added that while he holds strong affection for his previous club, the opportunity to manage Chelsea was impossible to refuse.
“I will love this club for the rest of my life, but I cannot turn down Chelsea,” Rosenior said.
