Joy as popular media personality celebrates arrival of first child

Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has officially joined the league of celebrity mums as she announced the arrival of her first child, a baby girl.

The 40-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday to share the heartwarming news with her fans and followers, posting a touching photo of her newborn’s tiny hand wrapped around hers.

In her emotional post, Toke wrote:
“I’m a Mommy💕…… This is the happiest I’ve ever been. My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being, my love. I have seen the goodness of God in my lifetime, I have seen God move and I no longer just hear of it, I see it. It ended in praise, my miracle is here 💃💕🌸.”

Revealing her baby’s name, she added:
“Yakira Eliana, Olakitan, Iyanuoluwa, Ikeoluwa, Adunola 💕. My purpose, my reason, my evidence. Thank you for choosing me, thank you for making me a mother. My heart overflows with so much gratitude. God heard, God answered. Every single detail, down to your fingers and toes, oh He heard my prayers. Meet my miracle, Yakira Eliana — Precious, Beloved — of great worth, My God has answered 💕🕊️✨. Signed, Mama Yaya ✨.”

The announcement comes only weeks after Toke made her pregnancy public. In mid-August, she surprised fans when she unveiled her baby bump, calling motherhood “the biggest project of my life” and “the highest calling ever.”

Back then, she reflected on her journey with a heartfelt note:
“You opened this door that nobody can shut… All that time I was convinced you had forgotten me… now I see it. I’ve worn so many hats over the years but this one trumps them all… You get to see me as a mother, I get to raise my own.”

Addressing her unborn child at the time, she wrote:
“My bug, you’ve made me the happiest person on earth, baby, thank you.”
