The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all tertiary institutions in Nigeria to complete their 2025 admissions before December 31, 2025.

According to a bulletin released on Monday, public universities must wrap up admissions by October 31, while private universities have until November 30. Polytechnics, colleges of education, and innovation enterprise institutions are required to finish by the December 31 deadline.

JAMB said the timelines, agreed at the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions chaired by the Minister of Education, are intended to stabilise the academic calendar and guarantee equal access for applicants.

The Board warned that all institutions must comply, even if their academic sessions have not commenced. It also urged those still conducting post-UTME screenings to conclude quickly.

“All admission processes must be completed within the prescribed timelines,” JAMB stressed.
