Inter Milan renew pursuit of Ademola Lookman amid Atletico interest

Serie A giants Inter Milan are pushing to finalize a deal for Nigeria international Ademola Lookman before the close of the month, amid growing competition from other top European clubs.

According to Football Italia, Inter have resumed talks with Atalanta after their initial €40 million bid was rejected. Atalanta are holding out for a fee closer to €50 million for the 26-year-old winger, who played a pivotal role for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side last season.

Despite the setback, Inter remain confident of securing the forward, with reports indicating that Lookman has already agreed personal terms with Cristian Chivu’s side.

However, the Nerazzurri face stiff competition. La Liga powerhouse Atletico Madrid and reigning Serie A champions Napoli are also monitoring the situation closely and could table rival bids in the coming days.

Lookman, who scored 15 goals and provided 7 assists last season, has emerged as one of the hottest properties in European football, with his pace, flair, and goal-scoring instincts attracting widespread interest.
