The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has assured churches across Nigeria that the nation’s insecurity challenges will soon become history, declaring that “the church will laugh last.”

Adeboye gave the assurance today during his teaching titled “The Master Builder” at RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service, which was broadcast live.

He urged Nigerians to remain calm, stressing that evil will not prevail despite the current wave of attacks on worship centres. In recent years, churches have suffered violent invasions, kidnappings, ransom demands, and killings in various parts of the country.

According to the revered cleric, the prevailing security situation serves as a reminder that only God can build and protect His church.

“When God opens a door, nobody can shut it. And when He shuts a door, nobody can open it,” Adeboye said. “Put your mind at rest. The gates of hell shall not prevail. Whether the devil likes it or not, the church is going to laugh last.”

He added that God’s role as the “master builder” extends beyond the church to the lives and destinies of individuals.
