IGP orders investigation into KWAM 1’s alleged unruly behavior at Abuja airport

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has received a petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) regarding Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM 1) and his alleged misconduct at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the petition follows an incident on August 5 where KWAM 1 reportedly engaged in unruly conduct that obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft, violating the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.

In response, the IGP has directed the Airport Command’s Commissioner of Police to initiate an immediate, thorough investigation to uncover the facts and ensure justice is served.
