Ibrahim Chatta lost godson, not biological son – Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola

Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has dispelled reports that fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta lost his biological son.

Over the weekend, Chatta’s Instagram post mourning a “dear son” sparked speculation and widespread media reports suggesting he had lost his child.

In a statement via her verified Instagram page on Sunday, Aiyeola explained that the deceased was Chatta’s godson, whom he regarded as a son.

“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully… It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy,” she wrote.

She also offered prayers for the bereaved family while urging compassion during this difficult time.
