Ibom Air saga: Emmanson appears before NCAA

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has confirmed that Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger involved in a recent altercation with the airline’s cabin crew, has appeared before its panel.

The disclosure was made by NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, who said the Authority was committed to a transparent and impartial investigation.

According to him, several directorates within the NCAA including Aviation Security, Operations, Licensing and Training Standards, Legal, and Consumer Protection are jointly handling the matter.

“Yesterday in Abuja, the NCAA team met with Julie Edwards and other members of the Ibom Air crew involved in the incident with Comfort Emmanson,” Achimugu revealed in a post on X.

He further confirmed that Emmanson later appeared before the Authority accompanied by her legal counsel.

“We have met with her. As we proceed, I will continue to provide updates,” he stated.

The NCAA is expected to release further findings from the ongoing investigation in the coming days.
