Ibadan North Bye-election: Police restrict movement on major roads (FULL LIST)

The Oyo State Police Command has announced restrictions on human and vehicular movement in parts of Ibadan North Federal Constituency during Saturday’s by-election.

Police spokesperson CSP Adewale Osifeso said the measure, which runs from midnight until 5:00 p.m., is aimed at ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free poll.

Roads affected include Agbarigbo–Jembewon Road, Adamasingba–Danax Intersection, Bere–Oje Road, Idi-Ape Junction, Ojoo Road Stretch, Ajibode Junction, Ijokodo–Apete Road by Custom Barracks, and Eleyele–Sango Road.

Osifeso urged residents to comply with the order, warning that defaulters will face legal consequences.

He also called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to caution youths against engaging in violence or disrupting the election process.

“The Command is committed to safeguarding the integrity of this election and ensuring it is free from fear, violence, or intimidation,” he said.
