The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election, Hon. Adewale Olatunji Murphy, has expressed worry over the low turnout of voters.

Olatunji made the remark after casting his vote at Polling Unit 27, Ward 10, behind the Housing Police Station, Bodija, Ibadan.

He described voter apathy as unhealthy for democracy and urged residents to come out and exercise their civic responsibility.

“Yes, we have what we call voter apathy, and this is not good for our democracy. I encourage people to come out en masse. This is not about one party but about the people. If you are sending us to represent you, then your duty is also here,” he said.
