I won’t mind losing my job if… – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he is willing to risk his job if it means doing the right thing.

Wike made this statement on Thursday at a media briefing shortly after the FCT Executive Committee meeting.

The statement comes days after Wike and other FCT officials clashed with soldiers over access to a disputed land in Abuja on Tuesday.

“As far as my conscience is clear that I’m doing the right thing, I will do it. If it costs me my job, it’s okay,” he said. “Did I perform? Yes, I did. Will history remember me? Yes. I will continue to step on toes too.” he said.
