‘I dey look for wife for my son’ – Charly Boy lists qualifications for applicants

Veteran singer and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has announced that he is searching for a wife for his 46-year-old son.

In a post on X on Friday, the entertainer revealed that his son, who holds a master’s degree and is 5ft 11ins tall, had previously been married but divorced. He added that the experience appears to have left him fearful of women.

Charly Boy stated that he is specifically seeking a woman “from a good home with humble beginnings,” stressing that only “authentic graduates” should apply.

“My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now, e be like say e dey fear woman… If you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me,” he wrote.

He further disclosed that his son, whom he described as “very humble,” will be returning to Nigeria next month, and expressed hope that marriage would “tie him to Nigeria.”
