How RCCG pastor absconded with $8,000 to US, took new wife

Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has made a startling revelation about a pastor within the church who allegedly absconded with $8,000, abandoned his wife, and remarried in the United States.

Speaking during a recent ministration at a men’s programme organised by RCCG, Pastor Folu disclosed that the incident involved a pastor originally from Ekiti State who had been posted to Cape Town, South Africa. The missing funds, according to her, were meant for the acquisition of a permanent site for the church’s parish in the area.

A video of her remarks has since gone viral, drawing widespread reactions online.

Expressing deep concern for the pastor’s abandoned wife, she said, “The woman she abandoned in South Africa is presently in a terrible state now, almost running mad.”

Pastor Folu also used the incident to issue a strong moral charge to the male members of the church. “RCCG men, what are we going to do? Are we going to continue with such a lying spirit, a deceitful spirit to the God of the kingdom?” she asked.
